New program for this week’s SWERV meeting

There has been a switch in this week’s program for the Tuesday meeting of Savvy Women Exchanging Relevant Views.

Dr. John Christy will be speaking about “The Design of a Beautiful Weapon” — part of his research at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama with fiddler crabs and how evolution plays out in the field.

All women are invited to attend the SWERV gathering; from 10:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Filipino American Hall, 7566 High School Road.

The program previously planned for this week, with retired librarian Martha Bayley on the best books for the holiday season, has been postponed to Tuesday, Dec. 11.
