For the first time since April 9, Kitsap Public Health District confirmed a new case of COVID-19 in the county.

At its 2 p.m. update Thursday, the health district announced one positive case — a person from South Kitsap in their 60s — bringing the county’s total to 133.

The number of tests done on Kitsap residents is now 2,710, up 149 from Wednesday. There have been 2,577 negative results.

Of the 133 cases, 38 have been reported in Bremerton, 34 in South Kitsap, 27 in North Kitsap, 23 in Central Kitsap and 11 on Bainbridge Island. One death has been reported.
