Island woman not hurt in three-vehicle collision

A Bainbridge Island woman escaped injury after her Ford F150 pickup truck was involved in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 104 just west of Kingston Monday afternoon.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the 34-year-old Bainbridge woman’s 2006 Ford was traveling west on Highway 105 about a 1 1/2 miles west of Kingston when it struck the back of a 2003 Lexus LS Sedan driven by a 59-year-old Port Angeles man just after 4:30 p.m. Sept. 17.

The Lexus then struck the vehicle in front of it on the highway, a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by a 56-year-old Poulsbo man.

The Port Angeles man was injured and taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton for treatment. The Lexus was towed from the scene.

The Poulsbo man was not injured in the crash.

The State Patrol said inattentive driving by the Poulsbo man was the cause of the crash; he was cited for following too close.

Both pickups were damaged in the collision but were driven from the scene.
