Health District reports one new case of COVID-19, brings total to 164

Kitsap County positive test rate is about two percent

One new case of COVID-19 was confirmed by the Kitsap Public Health District in its Wednesday update, bringing the countywide total to 164 cases.

The new case was confirmed as a Bremerton resident in their 40’s. A total of 7,905 residents have tested negative — of those tested, the positive test rate has dropped to about 2 percent.

Of the 164 cases, 52 have been reported in Bremerton, 39 in South Kitsap, 34 in North Kitsap, 28 in Central Kitsap and 11 on Bainbridge Island. Two coronavirus-related deaths have been confirmed by Kitsap Public Health District as well.

The age breakdown for confirmed cases is as follows:

0 – 19: 7

20 – 29: 29

30 – 39: 20

40 – 49: 28

50 – 59: 42

60 – 69: 19

70 – 79: 13

80 and older: 6
