Harrison Medical Center on Bainbridge to open in December

The new Harrison Medical Center on Bainbridge will be ready for its first patients Dec. 1.
Leading up to opening day, residents are invited to join Harrison in a series of free events, including a community open house on Thursday, Nov. 20.
The new facility, designed by award-winning Coates Design Architects, is a two-story, 17,000-square-foot medical building located on Madison Avenue. It will provide 24/7 urgent care, primary care, specialty care, expanded imaging and lab services and other outpatient services.
Kids of all ages will have the opportunity to participate in the first of the opening events. Kids Discovery Museum will host a Teddy Bear Clinic from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday,
Nov. 11. Kids can bring their stuffed animals and fluffy friends for a mock exam. Attendees are encouraged to bring donations of new stuffed animals with tags for the Fluffy Friends Program to benefit future pediatric patients at Harrison’s urgent care and ER.
The Bainbridge Island Museum of Art will host the second event with Dr. Dawson Brown from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, who will talk about when it’s the right time to start considering joint replacement. Participants will learn about treatment options at Harrison’s Orthopedic Center, the regions first orthopedic specialty care facility.

An open house will welcome residents to the new facility from 12 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20 at its location at 8804 Madison Ave. N.
Attendees can take a tour, meet providers and learn about the services available to the public beginning Dec. 1.
