Halloween robber sentenced to 30 months in prison

Former islander sentenced Tuesday.

A former Bainbridge Island resident was sentenced to 30 months in state prison Tuesday for robbing a Winslow drugstore last Halloween, Kitsap County prosecutor’s said.

Simon Diot Stocker, 24, last week pleaded guilty in Kitsap County Superior Court to one count of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of delivery of a controlled substance and second degree robbery.

The robbery happened Oct. 31, just before closing at Vern’s Winslow Drug, when police said Stocker displayed a handgun to an employee and demanded prescription pain medication. The employee complied and the suspect escaped out the back door.

Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect shortly after the crime, but Stocker’s arrest didn’t come until February.
