COVID-19 death toll in Washington state now at 22

A total of 22 people in Washington state have died from the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19), according to the Washington State Department of Health.

State health officials said the newest fatality to COVID-19 was reported in Grant County.

Another 20 of those who died have been in King County, and one death had been reported in Snohomish County.

The state Department of Health announced the new tally just after 4 p.m. Monday.

There have been 162 cases of COVID-19 found in Washington state. A total of 116 have been reported in King County, with another 37 in Snohomish County.
