A mudslide today has closed a section of Point White Drive on Bainbridge Island maybe until the end of the week.

The road is reduced to one lane of traffic until the slide can be removed.

The city reports that it’s a minor slide, but responsive action needs to be taken immediately.

The slide is located at 3212 Point White Drive.

The city says there are advance warning signs, barricades and traffic cones to guide motorists.

Bainbridge Island Operations and Maintenance crews might not reopen it until week’s end.
