Gail Fleming and her dog Trek of Bainbridge Island won Best of Breed for Vizslas at the 146th Annual Westminster Dog Show.

After receiving several top awards and being ranked first in the nation, Trek came into the competition as a favorite, and although he had a target on his back, he was able to outshine his competitors.

Fleming and Trek do not look to slow down anytime soon. The two will return to BI for a day before leaving for Oregon for their next competition.

Westminster Dog Show, the premier all-breed conformation show, hosted nearly 3,500 dogs, including over 200 different breeds and varieties. Out of 3,500 dogs, Trek was one of 29 Vizslas competing for the Best of Breed award, the third-most entries for a breed within the sporting group.

The competition at Lyndhurst Mansion in New York for the second-straight year was changed from its original January date because of COVID-19.
