Bainbridge public officials to huddle Wednesday to share coronavirus response plans

Officials from public agencies across Bainbridge Island will meet this week to coordinate plans for community response to the outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Washington.

The meeting is being hosted by the city of Bainbridge Island at city hall on Wednesday, March 4.

Officials from the city, the Bainbridge Island Police Department, Bainbridge Island Fire Department, the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District, and the Bainbridge Island School District are all expected to attend.

City spokeswoman Kristen Drew said the meeting will be an internal staff meeting with partner agencies, and would not be open to the public.

Also Wednesday, Bainbridge Island Fire Department Chief Hank Teran is scheduled to give an update on COVID-19 at the board of commissioners meeting for the Bainbridge Island Fire District.

The fire commissioners will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 4 at Station 21 on Madison Avenue. The meeting is open to the public.
