Bainbridge blotter | Too late to brake

Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 27

8:04 p.m. A two-car collision on Highway 305, near the Madison Avenue intersection, resulted in minor damage but no injuries.

While traveling north on the highway, a 17-year-old Bainbridge Island boy in a 2004 Toyota Prius struck the rear of the car in front of him, a 2017 Hyundai Sonata, which had stopped at the intersection.

He said he’d looked away and did not notice that traffic had stopped, and when he looked again it was too late to brake.

Nether driver reported any injuries.
