Bainbridge blotter | Someone got her coat

Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 30

12:44 p.m. A woman called police to report a coat had been stolen from her car while it was parked on Parfitt Way the day before.

The woman, 81, of Bainbridge, said she’d originally parked her car on Bjune Drive, near a coffee shop. She moved it shortly after to park on Parfitt, near a different coffee shop. There was a teal woman’s coat in a bag on the passenger seat when she left her car for the second time, but it was gone upon her ultimate return several hours later.

She admitted she’d left the car unlocked.

There are no suspects. The woman estimated the value of the coat to be about $500.
