Bainbridge blotter | Smiley face. Sad!

Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

THURSDAY, AUG. 8

9:24 a.m. A sealed construction site on Point White Drive NE was infiltrated and somebody painted “BHS” and a smiley face on drywall using paint stored in the same space. Additionally, door protection was also painted in a “random pattern.”

There was no sign of forced entry, leading police to believe that the vandal knew the door lock code or the door was not locked.

Nearby security cameras do not reach the location and captured no images of the crime.

There are no suspects.

A report was filed.
