Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 28

2:58 p.m. Police responded to a reported burglary at a home on Moran Road NE.

The resident, 36, told police that sometime between 6 a.m. and noon, somebody had entered his residence and stolen a cell phone and his wallet.

The door, he said, was unlocked.

He described the phone as an “LG phone that he found in Seattle.” It was not connected to any carrier, but he uses it as a Wi-Fi device. He had no other information about the phone.

The wallet, he said, was a gray Puma nylon wallet containing two ID cards, two student ID cards, various business cards, two quarters and two $1 bills.

The man claimed that specific money had sentimental value to him.

The thief was likely somebody he was having current legal troubles with, he said.
