Bainbridge blotter | Is the money still there?

Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

MONDAY, APRIL 6

11:35 a.m. The manager of a hotel on Hildebrand Lane said she found contraband in a guest room after the guests had left.

The manager said she received a call from one of the guests, a Bremerton woman, who said she had left $200 under the bathroom sink and wondered if someone could look for the money.

The manager did, but while searching also found a large syringe in the trash can, along with small plastic bags that contained a white powdery substance on the night stand.

The woman said she would come back for the money.

The manager contacted police, and officers seized the suspected drugs. Because a man also signed the agreement for the hotel room, it wasn’t clear who the possible drugs belonged to.
