Saturday, July 5

9:22 a.m. A two-car accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 305 and High School Road.

A 48-year-old woman driving a 2006 Honda CRV was traveling south through the intersection and struck a 2015 Nissan Leaf driven by a 34-year-old man who was eastbound on High School Road and crossing the highway.

Witnesses said the woman ran a red light and the other driver said there had been a green light when he entered the intersection and was hit.

The woman said she was trying to get to the ferry and was not sure what color the light had been.

The man complained of nausea and was transported to the hospital.
