Angel and Fats are this week’s adoptable pets

This week’s adoptable pets are Angel and Fats.

For adoption through PAWS:

Angel is a 2-year-old, medium-haired dilute calico who came to PAWS after showing up as a pregnant stray at someone’s home.

They took her in and fostered her and her babies until they were ready for surgery.

She has been an indoor/outdoor cat. She likes affection on her terms and isn’t that fond of other cats.

You can meet Angel and several others at the PAWS Pleasant Beach adoption center, open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

For adoption through Kitsap Humane Society:

Adopt Fats! Fats isn’t actually that fat, but he is super cute. This handsome pit bull mix is ready for a loving home.

Despite his size (about 60 pounds) Fats thinks he’s a lap dog. He loves to crawl into your lap whenever the opportunity arises, and he’s not above showering you with kisses, too.

Fats is happy boy who seems to like every human he meets. He likes to go walks, and lounge in the yard. Although he can be playful, he is pretty calm, and has a nice energy level.

Fats appears to be house trained and is good on the leash. He can be a little nervous around other dogs and may be happiest as an only dog. He is really not a fan of cats so needs a home with absolutely no access to kitties.

Fats is looking for an awesome home that will appreciate his good looks and sparkling personality. He does have an old injury to his leg that means he favors it a little and won’t be able to do lots of hikes or running. The Kitsap Humane Society’s vet staff can talk with you about what is going on with his leg and how to keep him comfortable and healthy moving forward. Fat’s ideal family has a house (no apartments) with a secure fenced yard and no tiny kids under 12.
