Bainbridge Island’s Grand Old Fourth of July parade and community celebration marched into its 47th year Friday as downtown Winslow became ground zero for the island’s biggest party of the year.

The patriotic palooza included a pancake breakfast, all-day street fair with dozens of food vendors, fun run, classic car show, baseball game and — of course —  the “Best Small Town Parade in America.”
