Forty-eight people in Washington state have died from the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Washington State Department of Health reported Monday.

In a new assessment of the spread of COVID-19, state health officials reported Monday that there have been 904 confirmed cases of the virus in Washington.

Seven cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Kitsap County.

The Kitsap Public Health Board has called a special meeting for Tuesday, March 17, to get an update on the spread of coronavirus.
