Celebrate a year of vintage treasures and community spirit at Bower May 16

Enjoy live music, raffles and curated vintage treasures during Bower’s celebration weekend

As Bower in Rolling Bay eyes its one-year anniversary, owner Maggie Stephens is planning a special celebration weekend, May 16 to 18.

“We’ve felt incredibly supported by our Bainbridge Island community this past year,” Stephens says. “It’s been so heartwarming to have people stop by just to say hello, or to mention how glad they are to see the old courthouse transformed into something vibrant and beautiful. Our neighbors here in Rolling Bay, in particular, have been amazing – we’re so grateful to be part of this community.”

The festivities begin Friday, May 16, with an open house featuring light refreshments, live music and a raffle for curated pieces from the Bower collection. The event kicks off at 4 and wraps up around 7 p.m.

For those unable to attend Friday’s event, the celebration continues all weekend long with an anniversary sale, exclusive giveaways and gift-with-purchase opportunities.

“We’re thrilled to mark this milestone with the community that’s helped shape our first year,” Stephens says. “It’s been such a joyful journey and we’re excited to keep growing – bringing thoughtfully curated antique and vintage finds to our neighbors and friends.”

Workshops and community connections at Bower

In addition to sourcing hand-picked vintage and antique décor, Stephens and her team have introduced pop-up workshops led by local artisans. From calligraphy classes to paint-and-sip nights, Bower has become a creative hub and gathering space for the community.

“We’ve loved collaborating with other local businesses and artists to create these workshops,” Stephens says. “They’re a fun, welcoming way to connect with friends – or make new ones – while exploring your creative side. We’re excited to keep building these connections and bringing even more creativity to our space.” Bower will host a flower pop-up in early June, and will have sign-ups for a jewelry making workshop later that month. “We already have a waitlist for our next paint-and-sip night, so we’re excited to do more!” Stephens says.

“It’s been such a joyful journey and we’re excited to keep growing – bringing thoughtfully curated antique and vintage finds to our neighbors and friends.” - says Maggie Stephens on the one-year anniversary of her shop ‘Bower’.
