Seattle7Writers host ‘Bookfest’ on Bainbridge

Nearly 20 bestselling and award-winning Pacific Northwest writers will be meeting and mingling with book lovers at Eagle Harbor Book Company in Winslow from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 3 as part of the Seattle7Writers’ third annual Summer Bookfest, with proceeds benefitting literacy on Bainbridge Island.

Participating authors include: Terry Brooks, Claire Dederer, Dave Boling, Laurie Frankel, Megan Chance, Boyd Morrison, Garth Stein, Donna Miscolta, Susan Wiggs, Waverly Curtis, Bharti Kirchner, David Lasky, Bruce Barcott, Suzanne Selfors, Jessixa Bagley, Kevin Emerson, Linda Johns and Brent Hartinger.

Authors will sign books, chat with attendees and even serve up their own home-baked treats. Also, 20 percent of the proceeds will benefit the Bainbridge Schools Foundation.

“We writers are so happy to gather together to support a wonderful, independent bookstore and a local literary cause,” said Selfors, a Bainbridge-based author. “And meeting book lovers is the icing on the cake.”
