Registration now open for 7th Paint Out Winslow

The seventh annual Paint Out Winslow event, presented by Winslow Art Center Studio & Gallery, will return to downtown Bainbridge Island from Tuesday, Sept. 6 through Thursday, Sept. 8.

Paint Out Winslow is a plein air painting festival, exhibition, and competition open to professional and non-professional artists of all skill levels. For three days, Bainbridge Island welcomes more than 50 artists to paint the local sights.

Artists and art lovers alike are invited to participate in a multitude of activities — watch demonstrations, talk with the artists, and discover Bainbridge Island.

Also, artists have the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work during the event.

Registration is now open for both painters ($50) and those seeking to attend the art sale and reception ($15 suggested donation). Visit www.paintoutwinslow.com to learn more.

This year, Paint Out Winslow will partner with the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum. Painting participants are encouraged to paint historic locations in downtown Winslow and around Bainbridge and a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of each painting at all events will benefit the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum.

Things kick off Friday, Sept. 6 with an exclusive day of painting for Plein Air Washington Artists (PAWA) members. That evening, Winslow Art Center Studio & Gallery will feature PAWA paintings from the day at the First Friday Art Walk.

This year’s guests artists include Sunny Apinchapong-Yang, Yong Hong Zhong, Maria Coryell-Martin, Dianne Shyne, Fred Truitt and Ron Crabb, and guest judge Lois Griffel.
