Recently re-elected State Sen. Phil Rockefeller talks with Monica Marschall CNA at Island Health and Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday. He spent three hours observing workers and assisting patients at the facility. As a member of the Ways and Means Committee in Olympia, Rockefeller works on budget allocations for low-income medical assistance. “They are doing a great job here and I learned a lot from this visit,” Rockefeller said. “Having been a patient before I had a good idea of what sorts of challenges these workers face, spending three hours and helping them gave me a new perspective on their important work.”
