Local artist chosen for juried show

The work of Bainbridge Island artist Tannis Moore has been selected to be included in Art Port Townsend/Expressions Northwest, the Northwind Arts Alliance and Port Townsend Arts Commissions’s 15th annual juried art exhibition.

Artwork for the show was chosen by David Lynx, the director of Larson Gallery on the campus of Yakima Valley Community College. Lynx selected 76 pieces from 322 works of art submitted from Washington, Alaska, Oregon, Utah, Nebraska and British Columbia.

Moore’s work was one of the 76 chosen and she will exhibit the oil painting “PT Henna Lady.”

The exhibition runs through Aug. 25 in Port Townsend.
