‘Human Psyche’ art display set for BI

An exhibition on the “Human Psyche” will be displayed at the Roby King Gallery on Bainbridge Island Feb. 4-27.

Opening reception is Feb. 4 from 6-8 p.m. Regular hours are Wednesdays through Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m., closing an hour earlier on Sundays.

Art that comes from and speaks to the soul, mind and spirit will be shown by artists Helene Wilder, Peter Juvonen and Lynn Brofsky.

A news release says Brofsky’s female figures bear witness to ongoing environmental changes. Her works include “Wendover Homestead.” Juvonen’s acrylic paintings are designed with shapes that are connected and controlled by his brushwork. His works include “Man Walking Two Dogs.” Wilder’s mixed-media drawings and acrylic paintings aim to portray inner strength and feminine beauty. Her works include “Strawberry Sunday.”

“Lots of Red! Lots of Artists!” will be shown at the Roby King Annex at Bainbridge Homes Real Estate on First Friday, Feb. 4, from 6-8 p.m. Works include “Roses are Red” by Kathe Fraga, a mixed media acrylic on panel.

Looking ahead to March 4-27, the gallery will host “Impressionism,” with works such as Cheri Christensen’s “Cat on the Ledge.” Others featured will be Pam Ingalls, Robin Weiss, Pamela Wachtler and the late William F. Reese.
