Bainbridge gathers for holiday tree-lighting ceremony

Bainbridge Island’s Holiday Tree Lighting returns Winslow Green at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30.

Organized by the Bainbridge Island Downtown Association, the free event, held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, is a Bainbridge Island tradition. It will kick off with holiday music courtesy of the Bainbridge High School Band led by Chris Thomas. Several musical performances will be featured, including an excerpt from the 2019 Bainbridge Performing Arts holiday show: “Matilda; The Musical.” Special guests include Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and their elves.

Following the tree lighting and musical festivities, join your neighbors in a walk down to Waterfront Park to enjoy music, s’mores with Bainbridge police, and the Argosy Christmas Ships from 7 to 8 p.m.
