As always, Halloween a treat on BI

From all over Bainbridge, people and their pets dressed up as superheroes, movie personas or storybook characters and joined in the annual Halloween tradition of trick or treating around the island.

At St. Cecilia Catholic School, more than 100 parents and guardians decorated 37 cars for their first “trunk or treat” event since 2019 for 105 kids eager to show off their costumes and collect candy. Inside the school, an ofrenda or altar was set up and displayed photos of departed loved ones for Day of the Dead (Dia de Los Muertos), including an altar for pets.

Merchants along Winslow Way treated hundreds of costumed visitors who promenaded down the street while a DJ played music, and the Bainbridge High School marching band made a flash mob appearance and performed.
