Sense of joy fills our new space | Letter to the editor

To the editor:

The grand opening for BARN (Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network) on Saturday, June 3, was grand beyond our wildest dreams!

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the celebration of this new community center for craft and invention. The best part of the day was the sense of joy that permeated the building as visitors had a first look at the eleven studios that make up BARN, and caught a glimpse of the creativity underlying all of them — from woodworking to fiber arts to kitchen arts.

BARN has been the work of hundreds of volunteers and donors, and we’re grateful to each and every one for their generosity in catching the vision and making it a reality.

If you couldn’t find a parking space on Saturday, or would just like to tour BARN, come by any Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. We’d love to see you!
