To the editor: I’m writing on the weekend. At our home near the ferry terminal it is easy to see dozens of Island visitors gaze down the Waterfront Trail through the wire-mesh barrier and turn around up the hill to find another route into Winslow.
To the editor: Speaking of Hilltop, as the election season concludes, one of Bainbridge’s proudest accomplishments unites all islanders and is a longterm investment that will pay dividends for generations to come.
To the editor: A big thank you to our community as well as our sponsors BI Cycle, Wildernest, Storyville Coffee, and Rax by Radically Inclined for helping make the first Bainbridge Island Ski Swap a tremendous success!
To the editor: In the wake of the destructive typhoon in the Philippines, I have uncovered some frightening statistics.
To the editor: During a campaign, a vigorous political debate is important. It gives everyone the opportunity to voice their opinions, engage in dialog, and bring forward issues to address.
To the editor: Is it not just as plausible that the “baneful effects of the spirit of party” of which George Washington warned us was as much in evidence as anything else?
To the editor: Housing Resources Board would like to extend a sincere thank you for the show of support we received during our “It Takes a Community to Raise a Village” fundraising event on Oct. 18.
To the editor: It’s that dreadful time of the year again. It’s getting colder and we turn on the heat.
To the editor: My name is Alfred Boston and I am a proud veteran and patriot. And I have been happy to call Bainbridge Island home in some fashion or another since 1989.
To the editor: For the last 18 months the city and the parks district has been talking about, and planning for, a new dog park on the city property off Vincent Road.
To the editor: It was very distressing to read that the school district was found guilty and assessed $300,000 because they weren’t concerned enough to help a student who was terrorized and bullied for months in the high school.
To the editor: I just want to give a big thank you to the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District for putting a much-needed stairway to the beach on Rockaway Beach Park.
To the editor:
Herb Eisman is to be commended and thanked for his thoughtful opposition to the commercial development of the northwest corner of High School Road and Highway 305 (“Project will cause traffic congestion,” Letters, Oct. 4).
