To the editor:

On behalf of the Bainbridge Island Junior Golf board, I would like to express our gratitude to both Wing Point and Meadowmeer for supporting our junior golfers year after year.

Our BHS school teams routinely turn out some of the best golfers in Metros, districts and even state. This would not be possible without access to these two beautiful courses for practice and matches each fall. Furthermore, partnering with Bainbridge Island Junior Golf, they have offered merit-based scholarships to several junior golfers annually allowing these athletes to improve their skills throughout the year.

Junior golfers intending to tryout for the BHS golf teams this August may submit a scholarship application to Bainbridge Island Junior Golf through June 2. More details can be found at www.bijg.org.
