Hulet has the best experience, skill set | Letter to the editor

To the editor:

I have had the privilege of serving on the Bainbridge Island School District Board of Directors with Christina Hulet for the past year, and I am writing to urge you to vote for her in the upcoming election.

To fill a vacancy last year, Christina was selected from a large pool of well-qualified applicants thanks to her experience and skill set.

As a former member of Governor Gregoire’s staff, she has knowledge of statewide systems, state level budgets and expenditures, and how those play out on a local level. Her experience gaining consensus among disparate groups has been valuable.

In the past year, Christina has proven to be an extremely thoughtful, energetic and dedicated board member. She is currently spearheading the process for revamping the District Improvement Plan, leading groups of staff, students, parents, and community members in creating a vision to guide the district in years to come.

Christina’s passion for and focus on equity will help ensure that all children in our school district are provided the best educational experience possible. Please join me in voting to keep Christina Hulet on the Bainbridge Island School District Board of Directors, in District 4.
