Frequently asked questions about trees

How do I find out if I need a permit to remove a tree from my property?

According to a Plants Map collection created by Sustainable Bainbridge, this red oak and its two neighbors, the sycamore and the American elm, were originally planted by horticulturalist Robert Cave. According to his notes, these three trees were bought as seedlings from Kew Gardens, London, and survived a long voyage around Cape Horn. At the time they were planted in 1903, this site was on the grounds of the Henry Knox Hall mansion. When last measured, the tree was 98 feet tall, and the canopy spread 110 feet.
