Bainbridge Island sisters Cece and Maggie Meiers raised $670 in two hours Sept. 4 to pay tuition for three children to attend school at the Flower of Hope Outreach Middle School in Clory, Haiti. Cece said she thought of the kids in Haiti as her friends and imagined that "they'll be super happy to get to go to school and learn and have fun." The girls are students at St. Cecilia Catholic School. Nancy Treder/Bainbridge Island Review
