Fairbank Construction Company of Bainbridge Island, a premier builder in the Northwest since 1978, has formally expanded into Seattle through the acquisition of the highly regarded, custom builder and remodeler Logan’s Hammer.

Fairbank Construction Company has built a number of homes in Seattle over the years. Officials with the firm said the move creates an exciting opportunity for Sean Meek, former owner of Logan’s Hammer, who will head up the Fairbank team in Seattle, to provide even better service to architects and clients in Seattle and on the Eastside.

“We’re very excited about this expansion,” said Tad Fairbank, founder of Fairbank Construction Company.

“I’ve known Sean for a number of years now, and we had casually discussed the possibilities of one day teaming up to broaden our footprint in Seattle,” he said.

As 2013 drew near, the vision began to take form and the details of a New Year’s Day launch in Seattle were finalized.

“The timing is right,” Meek explained.

“Fairbank Construction Company has the history and resources that will allow me to do what I love best – partnering in the process of creating satisfied clients through a successful building project. Nothing gets me more excited than watching a dream come true for a client,” Meek said.

Company officials said the acquisition of Logan’s Hammer was a natural fit.

Fairbank Construction Company will occupy the former Logan’s Hammer offices at 2303 West Commodore Way, Suite 301, in Seattle, and can be reached at (206) 718-4008 or (206) 842-9217.
