Wrestling teams are dealing with low participation this year, but the remaining grapplers have forged on in this shortened season.

Bainbridge took on Olympic and Kingston in a recent match at Fairview Middle School in Bremerton. Most matches involved forfeits, though the Spartans had a few winners.

Harrison Cate won his match at 126 pounds and Caroline Michaels also prevailed in her match — both were ended by pin. Wyatt Goade received a forfeit at 195 pounds and wrestled an exhibition match while Garrett Swanson accepted a forfeit at 106 pounds.

Bainbridge split its two matches against Kingston. The Bucs’ Lad Issa defeated Goade at 220 pounds and Cate beat Joseph Woods at 120. Both matches were decided by pin.
