To the editor:

It was my privilege to serve on the city of Bainbridge Island task force for affordable housing, where I was able to work closely with several city council members. Among them, Sarah Blossom stands out for integrity, thoroughness, and fair and even-handed decision-making.

For starters, Sarah always shows up and is always well prepared. She investigates each issue deeply and listens carefully to her fellow islanders. She has a clear and accurate understanding of our comprehensive plan and municipal codes.

Sarah knows, as all council members must, the complexity and inter-relatedness of the many issues brought before them; the days of quick, simple fixes are gone (if they ever truly existed). Thoughtful, reliable, experienced and impartial, Sarah is an excellent example of a true public servant. She is not looking to use her council position as a stepping stone to higher political positions; she is motivated by a strong desire to serve her community as a whole, not just special interest groups.

I wholeheartedly urge your support for Sarah Blossom, who certainly has mine.
