BHS stops Prep for No. 1 spot

SEATTLE – The Bainbridge High varsity boys soccer team secured the top spot in the Metro Sound Division last Wednesday when they shutout Seattle Preparatory 4-0 on the road.
All four goals were scored in the first half and BHS spent the later part of the game keeping their host off the board.
Senior Spartan Gerrit Mahling scored two goals; Anton Easterbrook and Glodi Kingombe each scored one.
Team co-captain Sam Maracich was awarded one assist.
Devon Reynolds was the man in the net protecting the shutout.
Bainbridge would play their first game of the postseason, the Metro quarterfinals, against Eastside Catholic on the road Monday.
