Auditions will be held for the upcoming Ovation! Performing Arts Northwest production of the Stephen Sondheim masterwork “Sweeney Todd” from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 11 at the group’s Bainbridge Island studio (600 Ericksen Ave.).

For the audition, hopefuls are asked to prepare 24 bars from musical theatre, opera or operetta (in English) and bring piano music in their key for the music director. A monologue is not required. There will also be cold reading at callbacks.

The production will be directed by Ron Milton, with musical direction by Reece Suave.

Those auditioning must be at least 12 at the time of audition. As Ovation! has a legacy of working with highly talented youth performers, experienced auditioners under age 12 may participate with the director’s permission. To obtain permission, email info@ovationmtb.com.
