Trump press conference stirs memories | Letter to the editor

To the editor:
Mr. Trump’s bizarre press “conference” brought back memories from my high school years in post war Germany when we were tortured listening to speeches from the Fuhrer, God’s gift to the Germans.
Mr. Trump, as an astute scholar of German history, realizes that unless you have your own Sicherheitsdienst (intelligence service), the U.S. intelligence agencies will release “false and fake news … that Nazi Germany would have done.”
Ouch, take that FBI, CIA and NSA and stop undermining our minority president-elect just because he lost.
Fortunately, Mr. Trump also realizes that freedom of the press is highly overrated and needs to be muzzled. “They are going to suffer the consequences” announced Mr. Trump, to the wildly cheering, of the 400 journalists at the press whipping. That is CNN’s and the despicable media’s punishment for helping make the Trump presidency possible.
I am glad to have experienced Mr. Trump’s focus on self admiration and restraint throughout the election. I have no doubt that he will become “the greatest job producer that God ever created.” What a wonderful grasp of his semi-divine self. Rumor has it that the New Trinity will be Trump, Putin and God, and Kellyanne Conway, his verbal contortionist propaganda minister, will rationalize and explain this new creation.
And, finally, Mr. Trump, don’t let little details of campaign promises prevent you from building that beautiful wall. We who adore you are sure Mexico will pay for it. Why wouldn’t they? You promised and we all know that truth is a sacred commitment to you.
