Rosemary Napora, of Poulsbo and formerly of Roy, Wash., died on Sept. 25 at Martha and Mary Health Care Services. She was 82.

She was born on May 6, 1927 in Tacoma to Adam T. and Gladys E. Mulligan. Her early years were spent in Tacoma, attending school and working numerous jobs for local businesses, including the Tacoma Tribune.

She enjoyed gardening, canning and being with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd T. Balmer, in 1950; second husband John V. Napora II in 1998; her parents; and one brother and sister.

She is survived by her children, Kathaleen M. Balmer, Connie Gordon, Nancy (John) Kubicek, John V. (Joanna) Napora III and MaryCarol (Rodger) Howerton; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; four sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. Oct. 8 at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 18943 Caldart Ave., Poulsbo, with a viewing from noon to 12:45 p.m. Interment will take place on Oct. 9 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
