Kathryn Haglun Salter

Kathryn Haglun Salter died peacefully on April 26. She was 91.
She was a longtime Puyallup resident and had lived on Bainbridge Island for the last several years.
Kay was born in Minneapolis, Minn., and lived there throughout her childhood. She attended the University of Minnesota, where she majored in nursing education. She and husband Rev. J. Burton Salter moved to Olympia in 1950 and Puyallup in 1964. Kay was active in the Episcopal Church, and was a longtime member of PEO.
Kay was preceded in death by Burton and son Tom. She is survived by her sister Marjorie Bennison of Leland, Mich.; children Mary Kay (Mike) Lampert of Bainbridge Island, Ann (Mac) Reilly of Puyallup, and Joe Salter of Kirkland; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the memorial service at 11 a.m. May 2 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church on Bainbridge Island.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association.
