Elizabeth Leila Giblett

Elizabeth “Liz” Leila Giblett, of Suquamish, died on Feb. 11 at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton. She was 52.
She was born in 1956 in Seattle, one of a pair of twins. She spent some time in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Hawaii, where she loved to body surf. She was an avid downhill skier and loved the outdoors.
In recent years, Liz was seen around Bainbridge Island delivering the mail, playing with her dog, Jocko, and generally enjoying life here. She was preceded in death by her twin, her mother and father and two other siblings.
She dreamed of returning to the family homeland, Australia; she considered it the “Garden of Eden.” Her family wishes she had made it there.
