J. Robert Sutthoff, 93

J. Robert (Bob) Sutthoff died Oct. 19. He was 93.

Bob was born May 10, 1916 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He attended Saint Gregory and Mount Saint Mary Seminaries. After leaving the Seminary, Bob enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942 working with the 19th Repair Squadron, and receiving an honorable discharge in 1945.

Bob worked with Catholic Charities at Fort Scott Camp, in Ohio. In 1947, Bob began a 28-year career with the F.B.I., retiring in 1975. From 1982-1975, he worked in security with the Seattle SuperSonics.

His favorite pastimes were fishing, boating, baseball and enjoying nature.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Frances; six children: Anne, Margaret, Connie (Kelly), Catherine (Slaton), Elizabeth (Weyer) and James; and 10 grandchildren.

A rosary mass and Christian burial took place Oct. 29 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s name may be sent to Mount Saint Mary Seminary in Cincinnati, Ohio.
