Longtime Bainbridge Island resident Charles B. White, age 85, died July 4 at Island Health and Rehabilitation with his family in attendance. 

He was born Dec. 17, 1918, in Oakland, Calif. to William and Inez Parker White. 

 Services were held July 10 at Bethany Lutheran Church.
