A bouncy bevy of hoppy Easter activities will mark the true beginning of spring this weekend at venues around Bainbridge.

Egg hunts and bunny encounters abound this year, with something offered for every age group and egg hunters of every skill level throughout the weekend.

Here’s our list of the top spots for Easter fun this year:

FRIDAY, APRIL 3

Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt

9 to 10:30 p.m. at the Battle Point Park picnic shelter (11299 Arrow Point Drive NE).

Teens can grab a flashlight and a container for this annual teen event. “Prize” eggs can be redeemed for specific treats specially chosen for this age group.

Cost: Free.

SATURDAY, APRIL 4

Bainbridge Island Easter Egg Hunt

10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (All hunts starts at 11 a.m.) at Battle Point Park.

This one’s for children ages 1 to 12. Guests can visit the big bunny himself for a photo op, pet little bunnies in the 4-H petting area, chalk the sidewalk and then scramble for treats in an area of the park designated just for their age group.

Cost: Free

Easter Egg Hunt at KiDiMu

10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Kids Discovery Museum (301 Ravine Lane).

Enjoy a season-inspired craft for all ages and drop in anytime between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. to find eggs and then hide them again for the next hunters. Rain or shine, you will have fun.

Cost: Free with membership, visit www.kidimu.org for admission details.

Wet & Wild Egg Hunt

1 p.m. (ages 2-5), 1:15 p.m. (ages 6-7), 1:30 p.m. (ages 8-9) and 1:45 p.m. (ages 10-12) at Bainbridge Island Aquatics Center (8521 Madison Ave North).

Put on your swim suits and get ready to hunt for eggs throughout the aquatic center. Staggered start times will ensure fun and fairness for all age groups.

Cost: $6 per child, includes open swim time session at 2 p.m.

SATURDAY, APRIL 4 THROUGH SUNDAY, APRIL 5

Weekend Geo (geocache) Hunt

Coordinates posted at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 4 on www.biparks.org.

Starting Saturday, folks with GPS units can try their hand at simple geo-caching in the Bainbridge Island Metro Parks & Recreation District “GEO Egg Hunt.” Visit the department website for more information.

Cost: Free.

SUNDAY, APRIL 5

Island Church Easter Breakfast and Egg Hunt

8:45 to 11 a.m. at Island Church (9624 Sportsman Club Road).

Island Church invites everyone for Easter breakfast at 8:45 a.m., an egg hunt to follow and Easter morning worship service at 10 a.m.

Kids ages 1 year to sixth grade are invited to the Easter egg hunt.

Cost: Free.
