In her song “Woodstock,” Joni Mitchell used the phrase “We are Stardust.” Astronomer Steve Ruhl will discuss the full meaning of this phrase and how we are made from the ash of long dead stars at the planetarium show “We Are Stardust” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 at Ritchie Observatory.
If the sky is clear, astronomers will also be on hand with telescopes.
The show is presented by the Battle Point Astronomical Association, a nonprofit amateur astronomy organization that operates the Edwin E. Ritchie Observatory and John H. Rudolph Planetarium in the Helix House at Battle Point Park.
Admission is free to association members; $2 donation suggested for nonmembers, $5 for families.
