Olsen’s right to respond to criticism in letters | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor:
Joseph Honick contends that it was inappropriate for James Olsen to respond to letters criticizing his views (“Candidate should learn how to handle criticism,” Letters, June 22).
Mr. Olsen is one of the few political persona on Bainbridge Island committed to limited government. It was not only appropriate for him to respond to the criticisms, it would have been inappropriate for him not to have done so.
Why Mr. Honick’s letter is in the Review, when the writings of Mr. Olsen he comments on appear to be those published in the Kitsap Sun, is not explained.
