The planetarium show “Hidden Hubbles” comes to the Edwin W. Ritchie Observatory at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10.
Akin to “Hidden Mickys,” Hidden Hubbles are wonderful and amazing images from the Hubble Space Telescope that you may have missed. Join astronomer Steve Ruhl as he looks at some of his favorites and figures out what the image is telling us.
Admission is free to members of the Battle Point Astronomical Association; $2 donation suggested for nonmembers, $5 for families.
There will also be a Create-a-Comet Kids Show from 5 to 7 p.m. with Dr. Erica.
If the sky is clear, astronomers will be on hand with telescopes for star or sun gazing afterward with the public.
The Battle Point Astronomical Association is a nonprofit amateur astronomy organization that operates the Ritchie Observatory and John H. Rudolph Planetarium in the Helix House at Battle Point Park.
