Help needed at farm work party Saturday

Friends of the Farms is seeking volunteers to help out at a farm stewardship work party at Suyematsu and Bentryn family farms this weekend.

The work party is from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 8 and will focus on removing invasive plants, trimming trees and shrubs and clearing around picker cabins. A complimentary catered lunch will be provided for volunteers at noon.

Volunteers will park at the farm stand on Day Road a half mile east of Highway 305. For more information, call 206-380-5327.
