The Bainbridge Spartans, Bremerton Knights, Klahowya Eagles, and Gig Harbor Tides competed in a wrestling meet Dec. 11 at Bainbridge High School.

Weight classes from 106 lbs. to 285 lbs. for both boys and girls were represented at the match. Bremerton went 2-0 in team matches, Klahowya went 1-1 and Bainbridge went 0-2.

“Most of our kids on the mat tonight were first-year or second-year wrestlers,” Bainbridge coach Dan Pippinger said. “There’s just these opportunities to take the lessons from tonight and take them into the practice room.”
